Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Sales Consultant to join our team at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and revenue in assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities and develop tailored sales strategies to achieve sales goals
  • Provide expert-level guidance and support to account representatives to ensure successful implementation of benefit plans
  • Conduct educational meetings to review existing benefits and describe new benefits to account personnel
  • Coordinate efforts with other sales consultants to ensure seamless delivery of service solutions to accounts
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, legislative developments, and corporate initiatives to provide informed guidance to accounts
Requirements
  • Valid NYS Accident and Health License within six months of employment
  • Minimum of four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Liberal Arts, or equivalent experience
  • Previous direct sales or insurance industry experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with all levels of account management and personnel
