Position Summary: The Controls Technician will play a vital role in the installation and programming of HVAC control systems. This position requires a keen understanding of both hardware and software aspects of control systems, ensuring that all installations meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute installation hardware design and software programming according to established protocols.
  • Communicate design and operational details effectively to clients and subcontractors.
  • Develop graphics for system interfaces.
  • Conduct thorough checks of HVAC control systems and wiring.
  • Oversee the loading, verification, and commissioning of system controllers.
  • Document processes related to Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems.
  • Provide site-specific training for operators on the complete system.
  • Foster long-term relationships with contractors, clients, and consultants.
  • Participate in job progress meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain adherence to safety standards throughout all tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A technical Associate's Degree with 1-2 years of relevant field experience, or 3 years of equivalent experience in the HVAC sector.
  • Hands-on experience with the design and commissioning of digital HVAC control systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
  • Niagara AX certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
