We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at SUSAN R FERNANDEZ PC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility.
Responsibilities:
- Complete provider orders and follow up on patient correspondences in a timely manner
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical providers and staff, including immunizations and other clinical procedures
- Communicate with insurance companies for insurance verification and proper billing procedures
- Maintain compliance with various state and local organizations
- Flexibility to work from both office locations, with reliable transportation
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience and/or training in medical assisting, healthcare, or related fields
- CMA certification preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Display leadership qualities and be proactive
- Computer literacy skills
- Bi-Lingual speaking ability a plus
