Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at SUSAN R FERNANDEZ PC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete provider orders and follow up on patient correspondences in a timely manner
  • Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical providers and staff, including immunizations and other clinical procedures
  • Communicate with insurance companies for insurance verification and proper billing procedures
  • Maintain compliance with various state and local organizations
  • Flexibility to work from both office locations, with reliable transportation

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience and/or training in medical assisting, healthcare, or related fields
  • CMA certification preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing procedures
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Display leadership qualities and be proactive
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Bi-Lingual speaking ability a plus
