This is a leadership position responsible for serving as a clinical expert in delivering and managing comprehensive patient care. As an RN Clinical Coordinator in our Orthopedic Spine Unit, you will utilize research and evidence-based practice to provide expert care for patients from multiple services/specialties with complex diagnoses. Key Responsibilities- Deliver safe and appropriate care to patients, adhering to the nursing skills inventory and considering the needs of each patient through the entire continuum of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate treatment plans, develop/implement discharge and/or transfer plans, and participate in ongoing evaluation of programs and desired outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards, promoting individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency.
- Support department-based goals and contribute to the success of the organization, serving as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff when needed.
