About the Role:

The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the logistical and programmatic needs of transitioning from the Chesed Center to The Hub. This includes assisting with Career Access programming at both locations and eventually supporting operations at the Brooklyn Hub.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate preparation of funding applications, proposals, and reports as assigned.
  • Work internally with Met Council staff on data collection and evaluation to meet funder deadlines and objectives.
  • Prepare internal documentation for job postings, Human Resources paperwork, onboarding materials, etc. as the Chesed Center team expands in preparation for The Hub's opening.
  • Organize and coordinate functions and events.
  • Support the production of external written materials, such as press releases, reports, and flyers, including proofreading & light editing.
  • Perform office management tasks, such as ordering supplies as assigned.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and notes where appropriate.
  • Track and report on progress of tasks to supervisor as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years work experience in administrative or office work.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary; must be fluent in English (both written and oral).
  • Bilingual, Yiddish speaking (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the Boro Park community (preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

What We Offer:

  • $21 to $28 per hour.
