Core Responsibilities:
As an emergency response coordinator, your essential role involves managing and improving the effectiveness of the emergency response program to protect Cree's personnel, assets, and operations in a designated area. You will collaborate with teams from production, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities, and external emergency response entities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies. Your responsibilities may include acting as an incident commander, hazardous materials technician, and/or emergency medical technician during critical situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promptly respond to fire, medical, and hazardous material emergencies at the assigned Cree facility.
  • Conduct inspections of life safety and fire protection systems to ensure operational readiness.
  • Stay updated and communicate relevant information that may trigger emergency responses.
  • Maintain and ensure the operational readiness of personal protective equipment and related gear through cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Document and report details regarding both emergency and non-emergency incidents.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in managing medical, hazardous material, and/or fire emergencies.
  • Possess certifications as a hazardous materials technician, emergency medical technician, or firefighter.
  • Ability to achieve work objectives independently while effectively collaborating with peers.

This position may involve additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Compensation Range:

$28.35
