We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess prior experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within metal fabrication, and will have held a Maintenance role. Our focus is on delivering integrity and superior craftsmanship to our clients, aiming to provide efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality products.

This role will involve hands-on leadership, technical guidance, administrative oversight, and direction for the entire maintenance team. The Maintenance Supervisor will actively engage in plant safety initiatives, housekeeping, and continuous improvement projects. The position also entails providing maintenance support to enhance operational efficiencies and identifying opportunities to reduce maintenance expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the daily work schedule for maintenance personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to team members and oversee their completion.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and align with production requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues to ensure timely repairs.
  • Provide direct supervision, technical guidance, and leadership within the maintenance department.
  • Oversee equipment management and maintenance operations.
  • Support maintenance and capital projects to maximize asset reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist with facility and equipment needs, including major repairs and capital projects.
  • Implement predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Utilize various maintenance disciplines for reliability engineering and root-cause analysis.
  • Mentor and develop training programs for maintenance staff.
  • Foster a culture of ownership and accountability within the maintenance team.
  • Establish spare parts inventory requirements and maintain stock levels.
  • Participate in safety discussions with manufacturing teams.
  • Enhance job knowledge through ongoing educational opportunities.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to safety protocols and identifying risks.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in maintenance within a manufacturing context (industrial maintenance preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and skills.
  • Formal education or training in engineering, process control, or reliability is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and organize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficient in equipment servicing and maintenance planning in an industrial setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and influence.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
