About the Role

PPL Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Professional to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing challenging engineering work, including planning, designing, and overseeing the construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical energy systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the work on smaller engineering projects or well-defined areas of larger projects, using existing procedures to investigate, evaluate, and produce technically correct and cost-effective designs or recommendations.
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams to facilitate knowledge transfer and present work products effectively.
  • Work under supervision in the field and/or home office, developing competencies in the function/discipline.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using well-defined engineering procedures, including routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and engineering studies.
  • Continually expand and improve technical and business skills under own initiative, with instruction, guidance, and direction from others.
  • Assist in developing innovative procedures, improved design recommendations, or new or better equipment purchase recommendations.
  • May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role, requiring work after-hours, outside of normal schedule.
  • May be required to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both, with physical presence in the office/on-site for face-to-face interaction and coordination of work.
Requirements
  • Engineer I: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university, with discipline varying by specific job requirements.
  • Engineer II: All Engineer I requirements, with a minimum of two years related experience.
  • Engineer III: All Engineer I and Engineer II requirements, with a minimum of five years related experience and working knowledge of utility industry and regulations.
  • Principal Engineer: All Engineer I and Engineer II requirements, with a minimum of 10 years related experience and working knowledge of utility industry and regulations.
