Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Referral Coordinator to join our team at OnPoint Family Medicine: Parker Square. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with examination and treatment of patients
  • Handle referrals and coordinate with patients, insurance carriers, and referring physician offices
  • Enter progress notes and other pertinent information into the electronic medical record
  • Perform administrative duties, including patient registration, verification of benefits, and insurance authorizations
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional working relationship with patients, visitors, and colleagues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program, such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent work experience
  • Nationally recognized as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and experience with EMR systems
  • 1-3 years of experience in Family or Pediatrics
