Job Summary

The Principal Field Applications Engineer will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers from ground to executive-level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a team of Field Applications Engineers to support revenue growth at assigned accounts.
  • Develop and present technical solutions to expand Fortune 1000 account penetration and loyalty.
  • Work closely with sales and extended teams to map end-user customer business, partner requirements, and provide optimized technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of solutions.
  • Engage with C-level technical customers, gain and maintain trust.
  • Develop and review systems solutions, technical bid responses, and presentations.
  • Work cross-department to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.
  • Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs.
  • Ability to present the corporate brand, product messaging, and solutions to customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and business sense required.
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired.
  • Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture.
  • Solid HW system expertise and diagnostics skills.
  • Familiarity with Firmware, Linux, Windows, and virtualization platforms is a plus.
  • Strong technical communication and leadership skills to lead investigations with engineers of multiple disciplines.
Salary Range

$171,000 - $199,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.

In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
