About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and ethical Therapist to join our dedicated team at Stokes Counseling Services. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in psychological assessment, diagnosis, and documentation. This role requires a professional who is committed to providing exceptional care while adhering to the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the mental and behavioral health status of referred clients with mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse issues.
  • Conduct standardized counseling/talk therapy sessions for Stokes Counseling clients.
  • Perform intake/biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' mental and behavioral health status.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses along with short-term and long-term goals.
  • Provide and maintain written documentation of intake, assessments, progress/contact notes, interventions, treatment plans, and termination notes within the designated time frame.
Requirements
  • Fully licensed mental health therapist in the State of Connecticut (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
  • 1 -3 years experience conducting counseling/talk therapy sessions with diverse client populations.
  • Previous experience working in the medical field, with seniors and/or intellectually disabled clients.
  • Passion for in-home work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in conducting intake assessments and formulating treatment plans.
  • Strong written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide and maintain documentation within the appropriate time frames.
  • Have a valid driver's license and access to a properly insured vehicle for work or reliable transportation.
