Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audiology Doctoral Student to join our team at Carle Health. As a key member of our audiology department, you will work under the supervision of a licensed audiologist to provide evaluation and treatment of patients with hearing and balance disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with auditory and balance disorders through case history, clinical observation, and diagnostic tests of auditory function.
  • Plan and participate in habilitative and rehabilitative programs for patients with auditory and balance disorders, including evaluation and fitting of appropriate hearing aids and assistive devices.
  • Educate and counsel patients on hearing aid care and use.
  • Provide a variety of services to walk-in and scheduled hearing aid patients, including hearing aid care, screenings, and information on hearing loss.
  • Collect invoices, input data, and ensure accurate billing/credits from hearing aid companies.
  • Provide hearing aid care, screenings, and information on hearing loss at assisted living facilities.
  • Enhance professional development through participation in educational programs and in-service education.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information.
  • Maintain department policies, procedures, and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Audiology or Speech and Hearing.
  • Completed 3 years of Accredited Audiology Doctoral program.
