Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal CAD Engineer to join our team at Marvell Technology. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and supporting advanced simulation environments for high-speed design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Simulation Environment Setup and Maintenance: You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining analog/mixed-signal simulation flows for advanced FinFET process technologies, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  2. Simulation-Related Issue Resolution: You will work closely with analog design teams and EDA vendors to resolve complex simulation-related issues, leveraging your expertise in industry-standard tools such as ADE, AMS Designer, and Spectre.
  3. Device/Circuit Modeling Collaboration: You will collaborate with foundry technology teams on device/circuit modeling-related topics, driving innovation and excellence in our design processes.
  4. Tool Evaluation and Benchmarking: You will periodically evaluate and benchmark AMS simulation tools, presenting your findings to design teams to inform tool selection and optimization.
  5. Circuit Check and Model QA Development: You will define, develop, and validate custom circuit checks and model QA flows, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy in our design outputs.
  6. Automation Script Development: You will create automation scripts to improve design/verification team efficiency, streamlining our workflows and reducing manual errors.

Requirements

  • BSEE with 10-15 years of related professional experience or MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining analog/mixed-signal simulation flows for advanced FinFET process technologies.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard analog/mixed-signal simulation tools such as ADE, AMS Designer, Spectre, FineSim, AFS, etc.
  • Good understanding of AMS flows including design entry, simulation, parasitic extraction, and post-layout simulation.
  • Understanding of device models and experience in debugging complex high-speed analog/RF simulation issues.
  • Knowledge in Virtuoso Schematic Editor, PDK, CDF, netlisting is desirable.
  • Programming skills in TCL, Python, Perl, SKILL, etc. is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams.
