Your Role:

As a Child Focused Therapist, you will provide diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and referrals to minor clients and their parents/guardians. You will work collaboratively with other Child Services providers, including medication management, psychological assessment services, and other mental health professionals, to meet client needs.

You will also coordinate services with external care providers, such as case managers, families, medical personnel, and school staff, as needed. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual and family therapy using a range of modalities, including Play Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dance/Movement Therapy.
  • Evaluating mental health diagnoses, creating, implementing, and maintaining treatment plans, and completing ongoing documentation.
  • Participating in clinical staff meetings and trainings to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
  • Clinical licensure or be on licensure track for LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LP, etc.
  • Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and clinical case notes, preferably with DC:0-5, ECSII/CASII, SDQ assessments.
  • A passion for working with children, adolescents, and families, and a knowledge of developmental principles and awareness of the intersection between normative child development and psychopathology in diagnosis and treatment.
