About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Convergix Automation Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative automation solutions for various manufacturing fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring they meet functional, performance, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and designers to ensure project success, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
  • Develop and maintain engineering drawings and documentation, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest mechanical engineering technologies and trends, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, supporting design-related issues and ensuring smooth production processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Mechanical based Engineering discipline or 5+ years of experience in System Design, Tool Design, Fixture Design, Machine Design.
  • 2+ years of experience in CAD software, such as UGNX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, capable of Quoting, Concepting, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in planning, executing, and monitoring projects effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
