Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients with complex medical conditions, including abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repairs, carotid endarterectomies, and limb-saving therapies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices and technologies.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of acute care experience, with a focus on IMC/PCU or ICU experience.
  • Current WI nursing license or compact license from a permanent address state.
  • BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass the UW Health Telemetry test.
  • Availability to work 36 hours/week, with a mix of day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
