At United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, we are seeking a Director of Racial Equity to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in leading our organization's efforts to develop and implement policies, practices, and strategies that foster an inclusive and equitable environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $99,625 - $129,500 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

As the Director of Racial Equity, you will be responsible for:

Racial Equity Leadership
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive racial equity plan aligned with our strategic priorities and goals.
  • Collaborating with leadership and staff to set goals, policies, and procedures that prioritize racial equity.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing strategies to track, monitor, and evaluate institutional-wide progress in creating a diverse and equitable work environment.
Education, Training, and Awareness-Building
  • Designing and delivering workshops, presentations, educational materials, heritage month celebrations, and training for staff and Board on racial equity, implicit bias, and anti-racism.
  • Serving as a resource to leadership and staff, providing advice and consultation on racial equity matters.
  • Conducting internal audits to assess organizational culture, policies, and practices in terms of racial equity.
Community Engagement and Culture Building
  • Buidling and maintaining relationships with diverse communities, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure our organization is responsive to the needs of marginalized groups.
  • Representing the organization at community events and forums that focus on racial equity.
  • Discovering and implementing new ways to maintain, enhance, and develop a culture based on our core values.
