Overview:

The Supply Chain Operations Leader will strategize, coordinate, and supervise activities related to procurement, storage, and distribution within the domestic program. This program encompasses parts, accessories, and complete goods distributed under various brands to both physical retail and online customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization’s growth strategies for both physical and online retail partners.
  • Develop, execute, and enhance operational policies and procedures to boost efficiency and adapt to evolving business demands.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and enhance revenue to strengthen the company's market position.
  • Recognize potential challenges and propose solutions to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee the departmental budget and resource allocation.
  • Manage human resources planning, including recruitment, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Encourage and inspire team members to achieve their highest potential through positive reinforcement and incentive programs.
  • Negotiate and select supply chain partners that align with our organizational objectives and long-term vision.
  • Supervise seasonal operations and manage logistics functions, including negotiating rates with freight carriers and maintaining budgetary control.

  • Analyze vendor invoices to ensure supply chain expenditures align with budget expectations.

Management and Leadership:

  • Comprehend business requirements and establish an operational framework to achieve the company’s long-term objectives.

  • Oversee, implement, and refine procedures and policies within the Operations division, including warehousing, logistics, domestic orders, service parts, and purchasing.
  • Establish a performance measurement framework to assess departmental effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental budgets to ensure financial discipline.
  • Coordinate and oversee the operations of various departments related to warehousing, domestic fulfillment, logistics, and purchasing.
  • Evaluate team performance and adjust compensation as necessary.
  • Conduct regular meetings to identify areas for improvement, including procedural adjustments, system needs, and talent acquisition.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational procedures and productivity.

3PL & Warehouse Management:

  • Lead the evaluation process for selecting third-party logistics providers.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new 3PLs, including site setup, testing, and inventory planning.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with 3PLs, monitor expenses, and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Assess 3PL performance to ensure compliance and quality standards are met, working closely to initiate improvements.
  • Design analytical tools to validate data accuracy between sales, actual orders, and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with in-house warehouse teams to ensure fulfillment requirements are met.
  • Ensure safety and efficiency standards are upheld in warehouse operations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage budgets effectively.
  • Select transportation carriers and negotiate contracts.
  • Address and resolve operational issues and complaints.

Shipping and Logistics Management:

  • Identify and evaluate new supply chain vendors, including freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Review vendor agreements and negotiate terms as necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with shipping partners to gain insights into market trends and identify cost-effective solutions.
  • Oversee the logistics team's responsibilities to align with business objectives.
  • Periodically negotiate pricing based on market conditions.
  • Work with customs brokers to determine appropriate product classifications.
  • Review invoices and conduct cost analyses.

Purchasing and Maintenance:

  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors for regular supply purchases.
  • Oversee maintenance functions and negotiate necessary service contracts.
  • Review costs to ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing domestic logistics.
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience in e-commerce logistics and seasonal operations is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in vendor negotiations to achieve cost efficiencies.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and fostering positive workplace relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
