Job Summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with clerks from other floor areas, customers, and suppliers to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities with clerks from other floor areas, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Update area or shift metrics as needed using our location's WMS system.
  • Generate daily, weekly, or monthly reports, memos, and summaries of a technical and/or confidential nature.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks for the area or shift, including maintaining filing systems and documents.
  • Gather and provide information to floor employees in your area of support.
  • Coordinate activities, meetings, and communication for the specific area or shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on the area supported or location specific.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year or more of clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
  • One (1) year or more of experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
  • One (1) year or more of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates customer service skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
