Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to join our team at Nemours. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing EEGs, Ambulatory VEEGs, and Long Term Video EEGs, as well as other electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEGs in Ambulatory and Inpatient settings
  • Determine and accommodate patient's age-based care needs and provide appropriate patient/family education
  • Know reasons for and contraindications to activation procedures
  • Provide patient safety and respond appropriately to maintain patient safety during seizures
  • Enter orders and notes when needed
  • Report critical test results to interpreting physicians and document communication according to policy and procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of EEG patterns associated with different disease processes and medical conditions
  • Document normal and abnormal variants on EEG
  • Utilize HIPAA guidelines for PHI
  • Complete transferring and charging of EEG patients
  • Generate report templates for reading physicians and enter necessary information
Requirements
  • Specialized training one year beyond high school required, END school graduate preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience required in routine EEGs, Ambulatory VEEGs, and Long Term Monitoring
  • Certification from ABRET required within 18 months of hire (R.EEG.T)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
