Position Title: General Laborer for Terminal and Stevedoring Functions

Position Overview: In this role, you will undertake a range of essential labor tasks that support stevedoring and terminal operations. Responsibilities will encompass rigging, maintenance, cleanliness, and various other duties critical to the effective functioning of the terminal.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo from vessels
  • Support operations related to the terminal and rail services
  • Inspect and maintain rigging equipment and cables
  • Manage cargo stacking and banding processes
  • Ensure the terminal and vessels are kept clean and well-maintained
  • Operate machinery such as forklifts and power tools
  • Adapt to diverse tasks throughout the workday

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED is preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a TWIC card
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation and flexible work hours

Physical Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items
  • Navigate different surfaces and heights safely
  • Work in environments with dust and varying weather conditions
