Position Title: General Laborer for Terminal and Stevedoring Operations

Position Overview: In this role, you will engage in essential labor tasks that support stevedoring and terminal operations. Responsibilities will encompass a range of activities such as rigging, maintenance, and ensuring the cleanliness of the terminal environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo from vessels
  • Support operations related to the terminal and rail systems
  • Inspect and maintain rigging equipment and cables
  • Manage cargo stacking and banding tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of vessels and terminal facilities
  • Operate machinery including forklifts and power tools
  • Adapt to diverse tasks throughout the workday

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a TWIC card
  • Capability to work in various weather conditions
  • Reliable transportation and flexible work schedule

Physical Requirements:

  • Pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads
  • Navigate various surfaces and heights
  • Work in dusty environments and under changing weather conditions
