Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Observation

Job Summary:

Banner Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Observation Unit team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and Plan: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs. Develop and implement individualized care plans to address these needs and promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Implement and Evaluate: Implement care plans, provide direct patient care, and evaluate the effectiveness of care interventions. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure that patient needs are met and that care is coordinated.
  • Provide Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health, prevent illness, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical Observation Unit or similar setting.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
