Position Overview- Specialty: EEG Technician

- Shift Type: 12-hour days
- Employment Type: Travel
Compensation: $2,086.00/week
Standard Shift: Days
Weekly Schedule: 3x12
Under direct supervision, the technician will assist in conducting various Neurophysiology procedures that are crucial for diagnosing and treating neurological disorders. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing multiple modalities of Neurophysiology studies, including EEG, EMU, LTM, ECI, and pruning studies.
- Preparing and educating patients, maintaining the Neurophysiology department, troubleshooting, and cleaning equipment.
- Recording and analyzing Neurophysiology data, noting any abnormalities or artifacts during studies.
- Ensuring patient safety and promoting quality initiatives while exhibiting professionalism.
- Training new hires and assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals as required.
- Setting up, adjusting, and operating equipment during procedures.
- Participating in various areas within the Neurophysiology department as needed.
- Caring for patients of all age groups and managing patient files.
- Adhering to departmental guidelines and participating in required meetings.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
Ability to deliver exceptional patient care, general knowledge of physiology, strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective relationship-building with staff and physicians. Basic computer knowledge is also required.
Education:
Graduation from a Neurophysiology or Neurodiagnostics program, or a minimum of 1 year of experience with Neurophysiology Tech II competencies.
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified Neurodiagnostics Technologist or achievement of Neurophysiology Tech II competency. Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
