About the Job

The Ambulatory EEG Technologist will perform EEG procedures according to company policies and procedures and maintain patient safety during clinically significant events.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EEG performance, recognition of clinically significant events, and knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures electrode application in adherence with the International 1020 System.
  • Maintains patient safety through communication for the duration of the study.
  • Continues to learn and apply basic and intermediate EEG waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPAA practices, contraindications for activation procedures, instrumentation, and preparation for use.
  • Performs patient assessment as related to care, such as electrode fixation product allergies, movement restrictions, and cognitive function.
  • Communicates appropriately and effectively with the patient and healthcare staff to convey the purpose of the EEG and answer questions regarding the procedure.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Reaching including above/below shoulder height.
  • Frequent kneeling/crawling.

Work Environment

This role will require domestic travel up to 100% of the time and will be based in patient homes, nursing homes, or clinics.

Compensation

$20-$30/hr (Depending on experience)
