Project Surveyor

At OWN, Inc., we're seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our Springfield, Missouri team. As a key member of our survey team, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeing survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, timeline, and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee survey projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
  • Sign and seal survey drawings in accordance with applicable regulations and professional guidelines.
  • Coordinate utility locates to ensure accurate mapping of existing infrastructure.
  • Review and verify survey drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, such as easements and right-of-way documents.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand project objectives and provide expert advice.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deliver work of the highest quality.
Qualifications
  • Licensed PLS in Missouri with the ability to obtain licensure in adjoining states.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed PLS, demonstrating successful project execution.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing survey staff.
  • Extensive experience in boundary, topographical, and ALTA surveys, as well as construction staking and UAV use.
  • Proficiency in preparing CAD drawings, utilizing software such as Civil 3D or equivalent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
