Position Overview:

The Service Technician is responsible for delivering maintenance services to our clientele. This role encompasses the repair of conveyor systems utilizing hand tools and the identification of electrical and electronic issues.

Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the Manager of Facility Support Services.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Experience with conveyor installation and systems is preferred.
  • Prior experience in maintenance roles.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours as necessary.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of DMW&H.
  • Strong background in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and general facility maintenance is preferred.
  • Capability to operate within a facility while adhering to safety standards set by industry regulations, OSHA, DMW&H, and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on-site service to customers.
  • Repair and replace components on various conveyor types, including gravity-powered, belt, and roller systems.
  • Service and replace parts on all power and free rail systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  • Provide customers with options and information regarding new part sales.
  • Prepare written specifications and reports for repairs, parts, and system evaluations.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
  • May oversee the installation of small conveyor systems with assistance from laborers.
