As a key member of the Advocates organization, the Residential Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting individuals facing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
This entry-level position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to oversee the daily routines of program residents.
Your responsibilities will include providing continuous support, guidance, and role modeling to residents, adhering to personalized plans aimed at fostering independence and achieving individual goals.
Additionally, you will manage medication administration, assist with financial matters, and facilitate residents' integration into the community.

Minimum Educational Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Key Responsibilities
Deliver ongoing support, guidance, role modeling, and supervision to clients in a residential environment, coordinating with other service providers as necessary.
Develop and document Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), and other assessments with clients.
Communicate the progress, mental status, and any changes regarding program participants through daily notes.
Monitor and document the administration of medications.
Provide crisis intervention and access emergency services when required.
Qualifications
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Possession of a valid driver's license, access to a reliable and insured vehicle, and willingness to use it for client transportation.
Exceptional interpersonal, judgment, and coaching abilities.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to utilize basic computer applications.
Desire to excel in a dynamic, client-focused, team-oriented setting.
Demonstrated understanding and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
