Our members are primarily pest control companies that protect public health by managing pests in and around structures.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Associate Director of Membership Growth. This new position will work closely with our Marketing & Communications department to develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand our membership base.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Membership Growth is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive member recruitment and retention plans aligned with the association's overall strategic goals. This role is critical in driving the organization's growth and enhancing its impact on the pest control industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the membership and communications teams to develop and execute comprehensive member recruitment and retention plans.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify potential members and develop targeted recruitment strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of member value propositions and communication plans to attract and engage new members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including pest control companies, and industry influencers.
- Manage and grow a list of prospective members through the association's membership database.
- Utilize data analytics to track membership trends and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless member onboarding and support.
- Represent the association at industry events and conferences to promote membership benefits and build relationships.
- Track and analyze membership metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment and retention efforts.
- Assist in the development and management of the recruitment portion of the membership budget.
- Utilize excellent customer service skills to meet organizational goals and department goals.
- Meet customer needs through direct member services.
- Review and assist the membership team with data entry and work with the head of IT to ensure standard processes for data management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in membership development or a related field.
- Experience working in a trade association or professional association.
- Proven track record of achieving membership growth targets.
- Strong understanding of the pest control industry and its challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to write concise and impactful messages to current and prospective members.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM (specifically Aptify) and software and data analysis tools.
Desired Qualifications
