Position Summary – Resource Management Systems Support Specialist
Overview
This role is designed to deliver comprehensive support for the Power Delivery Automated Resource Management System (ARMS). As an integral member of the team, the ideal candidate will engage in the innovation and configuration of the ARMS application, investigate emerging technologies, and facilitate integration with existing workforce management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 production support and manage case handling
- Conduct impact analysis, including functional assessments and application risk evaluations
- Oversee production deployments, verification testing, and user implementation assistance
- Coordinate user acceptance testing with clients and manage bug tracking
- Troubleshoot and resolve application quality concerns
- Manage the application life cycle effectively
- Ensure compliance with change management controls
- Interface with application vendors for support
- Travel may be required within the operational footprint on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting vendor applications
- Familiarity with CGI OpenGrid (also known as Pragma Field and Pragma Cad) is preferred
- Proficient in Windows Server and associated products, including Reporting Services and Integration Services
- Experience with Oracle databases
- Knowledge of C# or other object-oriented programming languages
- Experience with IBM MQ, Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ), or other message-oriented middleware
- Understanding of Microsoft BizTalk or other middleware/Integration Bus platforms
- Conversant in relational database management
- Strong grasp of technical environments and software methodologies
- Proven customer service experience in a support capacity
- PowerShell and Splunk/SCOM experience is preferred
