Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in the Geriatrics department at UW Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in the examination and treatment of patients
  • Prepare patients for examination, obtain vital signs, and document chief complaint, medications, and allergies
  • Administer medications and perform other clinical tasks as needed
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program or licensure as an LPN preferred
  • Certification as a CMA, RMA, or CCMA required; certification must be obtained within one year of hire date
  • One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
