Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering the phone, maintaining records, and scheduling patients.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • No experience required, but prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • One of the following certifications: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC), Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Assistant Certification (MAC), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
Work Environment

This role is based in the East Derm department at SSM Health, with a scheduled weekly hours of 32. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid parental leave, flexible payment options, and upfront tuition coverage.
