Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and solutions to resolve complex technical issues that cannot be managed by Level 1 and Level 2 support teams.
  • Infrastructure Lifecycle Management: Oversee the operational lifecycle management of various infrastructure products, ensuring they are up-to-date and running smoothly.
  • Database Management: Upgrade, patch, and consolidate SQL Servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Cloud Migration Planning: Participate in global cloud migration assessments to determine which servers can be transitioned to Azure, leveraging your cloud experience.
  • Backup and Recovery: Manage and optimize backup processes, including recent migrations to CommVault, ensuring timely and efficient backups.
  • Virtualization Management: Maintain, upgrade, and patch VMWare environments, focusing on versions.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Validate and document GxP systems, ensuring that all changes are properly recorded and compliant with industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with a small, highly collaborative team, including experts in Citrix and other technologies, to achieve common goals without micromanagement.
Requirements
  • SQL Server Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an SQL DBA, with hands-on experience in upgrading, consolidating, patching, and fixing SQL Servers.
  • CommVault Experience: 2-3 years of experience in implementing and configuring CommVault backup solutions.
  • VMWare Proficiency: Strong experience in maintaining and upgrading VMWare environments, particularly versions.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to validate, document, and manage changes in GxP systems, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Symantec Enterprise Vault Experience: Familiarity with Symantec Enterprise Vault for managing and archiving data.
  • Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, to support cloud migration initiatives.
