Job Summary:

This position is responsible for providing inspection services for our products to ensure they meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of incoming, in-process, and final products
  • Collect and maintain certificates of compliance from vendors
  • Write non-conformances for vendor-supplied items
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, word processing, and emailing
  • Additional tasks as assigned by the manager

Principal Contacts:

This position interacts with supervisors, quality managers, engineers, project managers, and other Armor employees as necessary. It also works with customers to resolve issues and concerns.

Competency Requirements:

  • Must be organized and efficient
  • Have analytical skills
  • Be able to perform metrology with a correct gauging approach
  • Have blue print reading skills
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office
  • Be able to handle multiple and changing responsibilities

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two year degree preferred
  • Three years of inspection experience required, including common precision hand gages and techniques
  • One year of experience in fixture design and fabrication

Equipment Used:

Personal computer, fax machine, telephone, copier, and measurement tools.

Working and Physical Conditions:

This position will work in an office setting and will frequently conduct inspections in the manufacturing plant.
