Cake Artisan

The County Market Cake Designer is a key member of our bakery team, responsible for creating high-quality cakes that exceed customer expectations. As a skilled artisan, you will be responsible for designing and producing cakes for everyday presentation and special orders, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional guest service, ensuring absolute customer satisfaction and building strong relationships with customers.
• Cake Design and Production: Design and produce cakes by hand and with kits, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels, pulling stale product and ensuring adequate inventory to meet customer demand.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the bakery team to achieve sales goals and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Certifications and Licenses: Food Handler's Certification as required by State Law provided at store level.

The bakery environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, and moderate noise levels. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in this environment, prioritizing safety and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
