Job Summary

The Custom Applicator/CDL Driver will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Agronomy location at United Cooperative. This position requires a unique blend of technical skills, customer service expertise, and physical stamina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application and Delivery Services: Mix, load, and apply crop protection products and plant nutrition to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Customer Interaction: Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner to ensure their needs are met and orders are accurate.
  • Warehouse and Equipment Maintenance: Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, and mechanics, to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Delivery and Logistics: Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed, while adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform minor repairs and report larger equipment problems to management or a mechanic.
  • Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a safe working area, keep walkways clean, and perform housekeeping activities as needed.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Accept and offer feedback and suggestions openly and respectfully, maintain open communication with management and coworkers, and represent United Cooperative professionally at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • CDL and DOT Requirements: CDL or the ability to obtain one, meet DOT and company requirements.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Applicator's license, previous application experience.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs, stand and/or walk for long periods, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Vision Requirements: Close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
