As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for efficiently operating construction equipment to excavate trenches for underground utilities such as water main, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate Excavation Equipment: Utilize excavators with precision to dig on grade and move trench boxes, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly communicate with the crew, including pipe layers, foremen, and superintendents, to demonstrate safe operations and project success.
  • Plan Reading and Understanding: Read and comprehend plans and cut sheets to ensure accurate excavation and trenching.
  • Double-Stacked Trench Box Expertise: Possess the skills and experience to carefully excavate in double-stacked trench boxes when required.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of construction or sitework experience, with 2+ years of excavating experience for mainline utility installation.
  • Knowledge and Certifications: OSHA Trenching and Shoring Certified, with knowledge of excavation, trenching, and proper shoring practices.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
