Job Title: General Foreperson

As a General Foreperson at Utilities Service Co Inc, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the productivity of daily operations. You will work closely with management to determine recruiting and hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols to enforce among crews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job site inspections to maintain proper working conditions and mitigate hazards.
  • Manage job cost control and invoice reconciliation.
  • Interpret orders and accurately report work and maintain records within the customer system.
  • Direct emergencies and assist with incident reports and investigations.
  • Supervise and direct crew members on new tasks, work production, and safety practices.
  • Administer training, disciplinary action, and policy interpretation.
  • Participate in regional safety company training and perform work under regional safety policy guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to read and follow prints, visualize job builds, and apply critical thinking to solve problems and identify job-site hazards.
  • Ability to work safely, productively, and follow directions.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
  • Must be bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

  • Rarely: crawling, climbing, gripping, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally: standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, body-twisting, sense of touch, manual dexterity, lifting over 10 lbs. to 50 lbs., reaching, range-of-motion, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, balancing.
  • Frequently: walking, sitting, climbing on/off a truck, reading, lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Continuously: speaking clearly, seeing distant, seeing, hearing-speech-range, depth-perception, color vision.
