About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Digital Electronics and Electromagnetics Department in Chantilly, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced communication systems and FPGA-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex communication systems and FPGA-based solutions
  • Develop and implement digital signal processing algorithms on FPGA and CPU-based platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate FPGA-based solutions into larger systems
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in communication systems and FPGA-based solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in FPGA design and development, digital signal processing, and communication systems
  • Proven track record of designing and developing complex communication systems and FPGA-based solutions
  • Strong understanding of digital signal processing algorithms and their implementation on FPGA and CPU-based platforms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with popular FPGA tools such as Vivado/Vitis, Quartus, ModelSim, Questasim, and/or Synplify
  • Experience implementing machine learning architectures on FPGA and/or GPU-based hardware
  • Strong background in scientific programming using languages such as Matlab, C, C++, Python, Fortran
  • Robust qualifications in hardware descriptor languages (HDL) such as VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog, High Level Synthesis (HLS)
