Uptown Cheapskate Retail Resale Buyer Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and fashion-forward individual to join our team as a Retail Resale Buyer Trainee. As a key member of our buying team, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing gently used brand name clothing, accessories, and shoes from customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in buying and merchandising activities to drive sales growth and maximize profitability
  • Provide exceptional customer service through brand and style knowledge, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers
  • Utilize point of sale systems and problem-solving skills to resolve in-store issues efficiently
  • Direct and lead the team to ensure smooth and efficient store operations, even in the absence of management
  • Contribute to visual merchandising and store appearance, ensuring a visually appealing and engaging shopping environment
  • Assist with social media content creation and posting
  • Perform opening and closing duties, overseeing the team and ensuring a seamless store experience
