Civil Project Manager Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct project teams to ensure effective execution and quality assurance.
  • Assist with marketing efforts to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet project requirements.

  • Perform project development, including finalizing project scope, preparing bid summaries, and preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Manage day-to-day project management on multiple projects to meet time and budget milestones.
  • Prepare and direct preparation of designs, specifications, plans, estimates, and reports for projects.
  • Review job cost sheets and prepare monthly billings to ensure projects stay within budget allocation.
  • Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Registered Professional in field of expertise strongly preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience in civil engineering experience, including a minimum of three years of assistant project management experience.
  • Land development engineering experience and skills, including residential and commercial developments.
  • Thorough understanding of municipal codes and regulations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AES, CIVILD, WSPGW, PCSWMM, StormCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Environment:

The Civil Project Manager will work primarily in an indoor professional office environment, with occasional outdoor work environment and exposure to outside weather conditions. The position may be eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, effective communication skills, and a commitment to promoting the reputation of Bowman Consulting through quality of work and attention to detail.
