We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Optometric Practice Coordinator to join our team at Amtec Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our optometry practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet incoming patients and complete the check-in process.
- Manage administrative duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and transcribing messages.
- Verify insurance eligibility and process claims as needed.
- Scanning and entering routing slips and other documents into our electronic health record system.
- Confirm appointments and reschedule no-shows, utilizing our practice's recall system.
- Pull and prepare charts for patients scheduled for the following day.
- Process sales of contact lenses through phone calls or doctor transitions.
- Ensure the front desk is organized and maintained at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the ophthalmic/optometric industry is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
