Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Fidelity TalentSource LLC. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our public cloud platforms. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud solutions using AWS, including API Gateway, Lambda, and other relevant services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy cloud-based applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and tracing frameworks to ensure observability and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Work with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform and CloudFormation, to manage and automate cloud resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our cloud infrastructure and services.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in deploying and supporting highly distributed multi-tiered systems at scale.
  • Deep practical knowledge of languages like Python, Golang, and experience with logging, metrics, and tracing frameworks.
  • Design thinking mindset in architecting solutions with scale and resiliency.
  • Strong AWS experience, with a focus on API Gateway, Lambda, and other relevant services.
  • Observability experience, with knowledge of Splunk, Data Dog, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD tools, and configuration management and automation tools.
What You'll Deliver
  • Help define and execute a comprehensive cross-platform observability strategy, ensuring Fidelity's systems are always available when our customers need them.
  • Bring together technical, procedural, and financial data to reduce toil and increase efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot stack-wide engineering issues related to hardware, software, network, applications, and cloud service providers.
