Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Technician with a Secret security clearance to contribute to our mission-critical operations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our satellite communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Operations and Maintenance on SATCOM systems, including the replacement of circuit cards and major components.
  • Perform detailed component-level work as required.
  • Execute all Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks in accordance with established Technical Manuals.
  • Maintain a Master Station Log following relevant guidelines.
  • Update Crypto devices and fulfill Crypto responsibilities.
  • Operate and maintain GT3CS terminals effectively.
  • Carry out Preventive and Corrective Maintenance as needed.
  • Manage Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • Provide ancillary training support as necessary.
  • Assist with circuit drawings and System Architecture Assessments (SAAs).

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of Satellite Communications Military Technical Training Course or MILSTAR Military Technical Training Course.
  • Minimum of two years of post-secondary education or an AA/AS Degree, along with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Current IAT Level II certification (minimum Sec+) with ongoing education.
  • Possession of a Computing Environment Certification.
  • Active and current Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with SATCOM systems, particularly with 52 and MILSTAR.
  • Linux and Windows Computing Environment certifications are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SATCOM theory and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with SATCOM system maintenance procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of DISA Pacific practices and policies.
  • Experience working with C-Band terminals.
