Pharmacy Technician Role at Delta Health

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Delta Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing pharmaceutical services to our patients and supporting our pharmacists in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical services to outpatients, inpatients, and various hospital departments.
  • Use technology to maintain records, prepare medications, and manage inventory.
  • Prepare, distribute, deliver, and stock medications in the hospital.
  • Conduct monthly drug inventory and storage inspections.
  • Protect patients by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Complete annual competencies and comply with USP compounding regulations.
  • Operate electronic health records and perform billing and crediting tasks.
  • Maintain sterility in the pharmacy and clean rooms according to current regulations.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Successful completion of in-house training program.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.
  • Chemo Certification preferred.
  • Good basic mathematical skills and familiarity with the metric system.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and pay close attention to details.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
  • Pharmacy Technician State Licensure in Colorado.

Please note that you will need to obtain provisional licensure before starting work. You will have 18 months to receive your certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. If you are unable to obtain certification within this timeframe, you will be removed from this position.
