Everett, Massachusetts, United States Helion Energy Full time

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Helion Energy, a pioneering fusion power company based in Everett, WA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing hardware for our fusion generator prototypes.

Your primary responsibility will be to own and understand subsystem designs, including electromagnetic, structural, fluid, thermal, and control systems. You will work closely with our team to improve these requirements, learn from historical engineering approaches, design novel hardware, and test your solutions.

You will also have the opportunity to work hands-on alongside experienced technicians to implement your hardware designs, troubleshoot issues as they arise on integrated fusion generators, and contribute to the development of our fusion system.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 8+ years of professional experience delivering full-scope engineering projects, including schedule ownership. You should have advanced experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, Solidworks) and moderate experience with FEA software (e.g., ANSYS Maxwell, FEMAP). Familiarity with GD&T and generating engineering drawings per ASME Y14.5 is also preferred.

Our total compensation package includes an annual base pay of $147,000-$190,000 USD, comprehensive benefits, and equity grants, giving you a true stake in Helion's success. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 31 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and up to 5% employer 401(k) match.

If you are passionate about contributing to a revolutionary technology that can transform the world's energy landscape, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
