About the Role

Fortive Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Everett. As a key member of our fast-paced and collaborative team, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving professional test equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with electro-mechanical products. You will lead the development of products from concept through launch and continue improving our portfolio. In this role, you will interact with various internal and external teams, such as Project Management, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, suppliers, Electrical and firmware engineering, Business units, Product Compliance, and Project Coordination.

You will be responsible for developing mechanical elements used in Fluke products, including components and overall system designs supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM), industry standards, and Fluke defined product robustness requirements. This includes efficiently working in a fast-paced environment focused on a broad portfolio of unique electromechanical products, effectively collaborating in a multi-disciplinary team, serving as a technical leader, developing mechanical designs based on industrial design, simulations, customer requirements, quality, and manufacturability, solving technical problems, training others on estimating work and managing project results, conducting and participating in design reviews, developing system test requirements, contributing to product design methods, leading product improvement activities, and qualifying candidates for these responsibilities.

We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable working with ambiguity and has hands-on experience building and evaluating prototypes. The ideal candidate should have strong technical leadership skills, excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and be a self-motivated team member willing to support others and share knowledge.

Salary: $79,700 - $147,900 per year, depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
