Job Overview

The Client Relationship Manager role focuses on managing key accounts, specifically Acme, Redner's, and Giant. This position is pivotal in crafting profitable initiatives, negotiating promotional activities, shelf space, displays, and other collaborative programs with the accounts. The primary objective is to ensure sustainable and profitable growth for all Wise Snacks brands.

This role also entails formulating cooperative business strategies with each account to meet the company's volume targets and support the sales team. The Client Relationship Manager will collaborate with the operations team to align with distributors and branches, ensuring flawless execution of all account programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development

  • Establish alignment internally and with accounts regarding annual volume expectations.
  • Create and sustain a robust promotional calendar to drive profitable growth in collaboration with the operations team.
  • Ensure sales alignment with the operations team through monthly TMS and S&OP meetings.
  • Track sales performance weekly and engage with distributors and branches for follow-up.

Profit Management

  • Analyze sales data to confirm that the correct items are promoted at suitable price points for the market.
  • Conduct monthly P&L reviews to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee promotions to ensure accurate PPA each month on both account and Wise sides.
  • Coordinate with distributors to ensure compliance with execution and spending guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with distributors and branches regarding displays, programs, and incentives to boost volume.

Sales Growth Initiatives

  • Conduct weekly market visits with the operations team (when feasible) to identify opportunities and devise plans to bridge gaps.
  • Evaluate all opportunities with the account category team to explore space and display options.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and RGM to maintain optimal pricing for maximum profitability and sales.
  • Engage in monthly sales operations meetings with branches and distributors to discuss upcoming promotional strategies and gather feedback on past initiatives.
  • Present and secure approval for all new items for Wise Snacks brands for each account.
  • Monitor IRI and other relevant data to identify shifts in category or brand performance.

Account Management and Customer Development

  • Work closely with accounts to ensure Wise Snacks is integrated into their daily business operations.
  • Share sales data post-key events with accounts to validate our contribution to their growth.
  • Maintain organized files with accounts, including authorization lists, promotions, sales reviews, and entering promotions into both the account and Wise Snacks systems.
  • Track all accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and proper deduction of promotional allowances.
  • Establish and uphold appropriate Planogram (POG) standards within the account.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers to support company objectives.
  • Address customer concerns effectively and work towards resolution.
  • Discuss service challenges with distributor management to resolve current issues and develop preventive strategies.

Qualifications

  1. Education: High School diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Sales, or Marketing preferred. Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), 3-5 years in Account Management, and 3-5 years in Sales. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is essential.
