About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at the Moody Neuro Rehabilitation Institute. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Assist licensed therapists in providing physical rehabilitation services to patients, including implementing basic therapeutic modalities and assisting with all aspects of treatment.
  • Patient Care: Safeguard and assist patients during therapy interventions, observe patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patient responses and progress, and report to the treating therapist.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and furniture to keep it in good working condition, including performing the assembly and disassembly of equipment and accessories.
  • Communication: Consult and communicate with therapy staff to discuss and evaluate patient information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatment.
  • Documentation: Record treatment given and equipment used.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma; College background helpful; Behavioral Science B.A. preferred.
  • Experience: Prefer at least two years of experience in Residential Behavioral Rehabilitation Program, or two years of experience with disabled population, dealing with cognitive problems or 60 hours of college will be substituted for experience.
  • Certifications: Hold current CPR and first aid certifications; Certified in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs; Physical ability to break the fall of a patient.

  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, twist, climb, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
