Responsibilities:
  1. Directs all aspects of decision making as a Servant Leader.
  2. Serves as the Charge Nurse in the absence of the Executive Director and Director of Health & Wellness.
  3. Contributes to medication management, including orders, administration, storage, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and company policies.
  4. Ensures resident rooms and common areas are clean and safe.
  5. Trains care partners and medication assistants on resident conditions and provides effective, professional, and sensitive care.
  6. Assists residents with self-medication or administration of medications.
  7. Documents daily recommendations and changes in resident conditions (if applicable).
  8. Implements plans of care recommended by the Resident Wellness Director.
  9. Provides accurate and timely documentation of all care provided to residents.
  10. Completes resident charting in the electronic health record and assists in completion of assessments as scheduled or with change in condition.
  11. Reports accidents and incidents as required.
  12. Maintains positive relationships with residents, family members, and responsible parties.
  13. Prepares for and manages emergency situations, including disasters, fires, and other emergencies.
  14. Ensures adequate and trained care partners and medication assistants are available for each shift, within company and state guidelines.
Requirements:
  1. Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license (LVN/LPN preferred).
  2. Two years' experience in a senior living environment preferred.
  3. Basic First Aid and CPR certification.
  4. Successful completion of all company-specified training programs.
  5. Effective communication skills commensurate with professional standards.
  6. Strong organizational skills.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively with wellness team members, leadership team, residents, family members, vendor partners, referral sources, and outside contacts.
